CASS Operations Director - Consultancy, 4 days a Month

A Financial services regulator is currently looking for a CASS Operational Oversight Director to work within their team in London. This is a consultancy part time role (4 days a month).

The successful candidate will be required to maintain and demonstrate sufficient knowledge and competence to meet the regulator's principles for approved persons.

Role and responsibilities:

- The CASS Operational Oversight Director will act as a subject matter expert on CASS providing expertise, analytical support and trusted advice to senior stakeholders
- Provide oversight/input into CASS governance procedures to support the Board of director activities, third party vendor oversight
- Ensure relevant CASS-related controls and records, are established and maintained, and external service providers to meet Group and local policy requirements and regulations.
- Ensure the CASS resolution pack is maintained and updated on a regular basis and is fit for purpose and meets all regulatory expectations.
- Receive, review and assess CASS management information from internal and external parties and provide robust challenge in the event negative or concerning trends are identified.
- Ensure that daily client money calculations are being performed in line with regulatory expectations and that robust arrangement are in place for the identification, tracking and remediation of identified exceptions.

Key experience for the role:

- Must have CASS & current CF10a role experience - Prerequisite
- Experience completing and submitting the client money and asset return (CMAR)
- Experience of working or operating at Board Level
