Key functions of the role include: supporting the Textbook Marketing team to make strategic decisions; driving projects from inception to completion; developing strategies based on data; researching and interacting with influencers on campus; staffing and training a team of brand ambassadors; and maximizing the business benefit while building great customer experiences.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- BA/BS degree required - Recent graduates encouraged to apply
- ABILITY TO TRAVEL AT LEAST 25% OF THE TIME
- Must be passionately in tune with latest social media developments and have an established social network
- Outgoing, personable and energetic and willing to roll up your sleeves and do what's necessary
- Ability to manage time effectively and work autonomously
- Ability to identify, influence and get buy-in from key stake holders
- Ability to own multiple priorities and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; strong bias for action
- Strengths in problem solving, issue-resolution skills, ability to work in an extremely deadline-driven work environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask are essential
- Excellent judgment and prioritization skills, the ability to create and sustain urgency coupled with a passion for business, technology and delivering a world-class customer experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work successfully with teams across the organization
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Ability to deliver initiatives from concept through completion
- Ability to think strategically and execute tactically
- Experience owning and managing multiple projects
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years in business management and/or marketing
- Experience with event production and management strongly preferred
- Experience with the college student segment
- Previous online retail experience
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumption
