My client, a leading automotive manufacturer, based in Warwickshire, is looking to recruit a Calibration Engineer to join their Powertrain division on a long-term contract basis.

Rate: Between £29.82 and £54.72 p/h Ltd depending on experience
Location: Gaydon, Warwickshire
Role: Calibration Engineer

Powertrain, Calibration, Engineer, Emissions, Automotive, Diesel, Midlands, Warwickshire

Skills Required:
Knowledge of SCR systems calibration on testbed and in vehicle.
Excellent working knowledge of powertrain application tools (INCA, CRETA, Matlab, Concerto).
In-depth knowledge of diesel powertrain EMS control strategies.
Self motivated and driven personality with a focus on delivery.
Good communication skills and professionalism.
Excellent analytical skills.

Skills Preferred:
Knowledge of diesel after treatment and emissions systems.
Knowledge of current and future emissions legislation.
Understanding of the whole powertrain system interfaces (Cooling, exhausts).
Understanding of OBD requirements for EU and NAS applications.

Experience Required:
Prior experience within the automotive sector or powertrain research environment (OEM, Tier 1 supplier or Consultancy).

Experience Preferred:
Experience of SCR/LNT systems desirable In-vehicle calibration experience.

Education Required:
Degree qualified preferred (Mechanical Engineering or comparable).
