CAD Operator

My client is carrying out worldwide railway projects in urban and mainline environments.

The CAD Operator is responsible for track design drawings for the Crossrail Project in London.

Main Activities
Understand and analyse requirements in contractual technical documents.
Understand a horizontal and vertical railway alignment.
Under supervision prepare track alignment and track design documents.
Under supervision prepare the required track documents for construction team (drawings, listings ).
Understand track installation principles so as to carry out proper design.
Prepare the track material quantities.
Position Switches and crossings (S&C's) in the alignment and design all track interfaces with the S&C's.
Carry out Factory Acceptance Tests.
Design mechanical assemblies for track work.
Design in detail track drainage for tramways.
Design typical and "for construction" track sections.

Technical Knowledge/Experience
3-year experience, preferably in the fields of railway and track design.
If no direct experience in those fields, highway and urban insertion experience could be accepted.
Preferably some experience in tramways.
Preferably some knowledge of track construction and maintenance.

Skills/Competencies
Experience in Microstation as well as INRAIL (Bentley Rail Track) is preferable.
Some knowledge of 3D software is an advantage.
