CAD Engineer - Molded Plastics

Working within a small development team as a CAD Engineer you will have a deep understanding of designing molded plastic parts and working with the tooling supplier. The role will be responsible for creating design concepts and progressing these through to assembly and design validation.

Duties
*Evaluate different concepts and provide design recommendations
*Creating cost effective and innovative design concepts
*Create design packages ready for Supplier part production, specifically plastic tooling
*Conduct Design reviews and gather cross functional feedback

Previous Experience
*The successful candidate should have a strong understanding of Mechanical principles and technology.
*A Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
*Clearly understand documentation and the ability to work solely on problems as well as within a team environment.
*CAD (Must be Pro/Engineer, preferably Creo)
*A good understanding of mechanical drive systems
*Design of Plastic parts and worked closely with tooling provider
*Module/Product design
*Developing Release Packages, Assemblies and change control
