CAD Design Engineer - Midlands - 3-6 Months (Initially)

CAD DESIGN ENGINEER - MIDLANDS - START 2-3 WEEKS - 3-6 MONTHS (INITIALLY) - £25-30/HOUR

Our major automotive client is currently look for a CAD Design focused engineer to help with the design and liaising on a series of new projects to be started in succession in the near future. The focus will be on the design and support of the engineering of various aspects of the powertrain project. These include cooling, exhaust, base engine, transmission and driveline.

MAIN TASKS:

-Establish component and system requirements from the systems engineering team.
-Repair and maintain 3D models & 2D details as well as handle any migration of components from IDEAS to NX.
-Using NX7.5 and TCE8.3 to create package schemes that will incorporate the requirements.
-Provide Support for:
-Part procurement activities.
-Powertrain Checkpoints, Design reviews, Package Meetings & Powertrain PMT meetings.
-Engineers in the resolution of Engineering Concerns including ensuring CAD information is available.

IDEAL SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE.

-Good working experience of Powertrain related CAD design.
-Extremely knowledgeable in NX7.5 and Team Centre Engineering.
-Educated to a relevant degree and level.
-The ability to adapt to multiple system and software usage.
