CA - Contracts Administrator

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as a Contract Administrator and manage a variety of customer and subcontractor issues on a major deployment contract
Work directly with Change Management personnel, customer Program Management Office personnel, and subcontractor Program Management Office personnel addressing change requests
Investigate change requests against contract terms and assumptions
Develop responses to formal customer and contractor claims and requested actions
Assist with interpretation of California Prevailing Wage laws
Take a leadership role to resolve complex issues such as pricing disputes, change orders, deployment issues, and performance enhancement initiatives.
Large deployment of towers and shelters with the civil services team.
Intensely contract based, review complex contracts.
Look through contracts, see which change orders are valid and what ones are not, work with suppliers and other teams to clarify change orders.
Evaluate contract change orders and validate them.

SKILLS:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidate will have a 4-year bachelor's degree in business or a related field, from an accredited college or university plus a minimum of 4 years experience working in contract negotiation/contract administration and supplier management.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
A demonstrated background of legal, business, regulatory, and programmatic aspects of prime and subcontract management
Strong oral and written communications skills, computer fluency, agile and effective negotiator with clear oral and written explanations required
BS in a related field plus a minimum of 4 years contract administration experience
Ability to manage a high volume of concurrent change orders and prioritize accordingly accordance with business expectations is crucial.
Leadership, strategic thinking, ability to think/analyze both at micro and macro level. Solve problems with minimal supervision but use escalations effectively if required. Individual should be a motivated self starter with a passion to drive successful resolution to issues.
Civil Services and Construction experience helpful
Understanding of Field Project Management helpful
