C++ Software Developer

Our client has an Anonymous Video Analytics product that runs across a wide variety of operating systems, monitors the system it is on to recover from any unexpected events, and periodically sends the anonymous data to the Back End Servers. The team is constantly working to add additional features and fix issues as they arise. We're looking for some experienced Developers that can help to accelerate the release pace while increasing the improvements between releases. This team uses an Agile Scrum code development process.

The primary responsibility of this role is to write and test code for the AVA product. This includes participating in the Scrum activities, reviewing code and responding to code reviews, fixing bugs, adding new features, and other activities related to developing software in a production environment.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE:

- Writing, reviewing, testing, and preparing software for formal release
- Leveraging existing application and test framework, defining unit test plans for industry standard functionality as well as features not available in the marketplace today
- Interacting frequently with other developers, marketing, validation and quality engineers to optimize product definition, root cause issues and verify fixes and deliver on tasks

REQUIREMENTS

- 7+ years professional work experience programming with C++
- Expertise in C++ programming in Linux and Windows
- Experience coding with Qt, OpenCV, multi-threading
- Strong working knowledge of various Scripting languages: Perl, Python, Bash Shell and Make
- Working knowledge (debug and development experience) of standard PC system architecture, Operating Systems and Driver internals required
- Self-motivated individual with the ability to take and follow directions and deliver to schedule
- Excellent analytic and problem solving skills, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills
- Passion for quality, ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment, and enjoy working as an integral member of a product development team
- In certain circumstances, position may require work outside of business hours on short notice; must be willing to support these requests

NICE TO HAVE

- Working knowledge of Video Analytics, Image processing
- Ability to read hardware schematics to determine basic component information, addressing, etc.
- Experience in developing and understanding the intricacies of large scale software development
- Familiarity with ClearCase, GIT, Perforce or Subversion for source control
- Coding experience with PHP and MySQL
