C++ Developer/Programmer

Technical skills:

- Excellent C++ programming skills, development and Scripting under Unix/Linux
- Experience with MySQL in high-availability systems
- 2 - 4 years of experience in software development
- Solid Java programming skills (OPTIONAL)
- Familiarity with Model Driven Software Development (UML, Eclipse Modelling Framework/Open Architecture Ware) (OPTIONAL)

Personal skills:

- Critical thinking, the ability to identify problems and propose solutions
- Good command of English is essential, German can be beneficial
- Knowledge of the financial or banking business, derivatives or cash trading will be appreciated
- Experience within an Agile development environment (Scrum in particular) is a plus

About my client:

My financial client is based in the Prague area of Czech Republic. They are currently looking for several external resources with skills and abilities as stated here above.

About the role:

The IT project team located in Prague is maintaining and developing a Real Time system for risk management calculations. The system runs on Linux, utilizes GPUs for massive parallel computations and is written predominately in C++, but Python and Java are likewise used. The initial contract will run from January 2nd 2013 for 6 months (with an option to extend after).
