For our client, a global Telecommunications company focussing on Chipset R&D we are looking for a C++ Developer on a freelance basis (f/m).

Project Start: October 2016

Project duration: 6 Months

Location: Duisburg

Deadline: 15.09.2016 (telephone interviews should be on Thursday or Friday this week)

Description and Tasks:

*

Extensive development and maintenance of proprietary test environment components in C++ to support the Pre-Silicon and Post-Silicon verification of Embedded Physical Layer Modem Firmware.
*

Technical support of firmware verification engineers during integration and application of test environments as part of the firmware verification flow
*

Working closely together with group of 6 Developers
*

1st level analysis of defects, test logs, Ideally including in depth analysis towards fixing these issues
*

Support platform bring-up activities
*

Contributing to full lifecycle of development, including planning, development, debugging and reporting
*

Ensure process compliance and proactively improve workflows, best practices and integration tools

Your Skills:

C++ Expertise
*

LTE L1 Modem/Platform knowledge
*

Mobile Phone Physical Layer knowledge
*

Linux OS knowledge

Nice to have:

*

TCP/IP / network protocol experience
*

Flexible, "can do" approach to problem-solving
*

Intel processor architecture

Languages

- Written and spoken English know-how is demanded, all documentation will be in English
- German language is not needed
