10m contract

C/C++/JAVA/ XML / embedded / firmware engineer - WORK FROM HOME - I am seeking an experienced and talented embedded software/ firmware / software engineer to work for a market leading client of mine based in the west country. This is an initial 4 month contract, with a view to extending for an additional 6 months pending on results. You will be able to WORK FROM HOME for the duration at the contract with occasional visit to site as required.

Outline:

* Excellent programming skills in C, C++, JAVA, XML.
* Extremely familiar with PC architecture, and both Windows and Linux Operating Systems.
* Hardware/PCB depth of knowledge - for example (but not limited to) RS485/422/232, I2C, SPI, Maxim 1-wire, ARM, PIC, MiWi/Zigbee, Compact Flash.
* Able to programme to interface hardware elements with software applications and threads.
* Familiar with Inter Process Communication Protocols (IPC), e.g. Sockets.
* Working knowledge of Application Programming Interface (API).
* Excellent written and spoken English.

* Previous experience in developing Windows CE platforms for mobile devices.
