Buyer/Planner (Retail)

Our client is an International luxury brand clothing retailer who are looking for a Retail Buyer/Planner to cover a maternity cover contract for 6 months in their London office.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Retail Buyer/Planner to gain valuable experience and knowledge in this prestigious luxury retailer with offices based in Paris and New York. As the Retail Buyer/Planner, you will be responsible for overseeing the Europe Retail Buying and Planning activities through data, business and customer analysis as well as maintaining effective communication with the New York team and Europe Area Managers/Store Managers. The ideal candidate will be a calm individual who is self-sufficient and is a self-starter with excellent communication skills.

The Retail Buyer/Planner will have 5 years + merchandising experience and will have previously worked with a buying team. Experience of selection buying would be desirable. You must be proficient and advanced in Excel (V-look up, pivot tables and macro building) as well as Word and Microsoft Outlook. Travel will be required to the New York office at least 3-4 times a year for seasonal markets, however these visits and stays will be determined prior to line openings. There will also be regular travel to Paris, so the Retail Buyer/Planner will be open and flexible to this.
