Job Description 

Outcomes:

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL: 

- The successful candidate will be a purchasing professional who will support the Respiratory Drug Delivery business for goods, services and equipment.
- The primary function is to ensure continuity of material supply to support sales.
- This will require the ability to identify and solve supplier problems.
- Typical tasks include interface with customers, placement of purchase orders, and processing of associated paperwork and transactions. 
- This position is specifically responsible for support of the domestic compressor nebulizer business. Included is the coordination of new product release, management of stock levels in addition of support of generic versions of compressor nebulizers. 
- This position will also be responsible for negotiation price in certain circumstances and for supporting Corporate Global Sourcing initiatives.
- The incumbent also participates in and may lead entire projects related to product introductions/transitions and cost reductions.
- Project activities may include placement and tracking of orders for fixtures, equipment and tooling orders.
- Responsibilities also include coordination of respective NMDs (non-conforming material dispositions) and ensure that appropriate review and disposition are in place.
- This position will also support production planning and maintenance of the MRP system..

QUALIFICATIONS: 

EDUCATION: 

- BS degree or equivalent applicable experience preferred.
- A working knowledge of QSR (GMP) and ISO 9000 requirements preferred.
- Certification as a Certified Purchasing Manager, preferred. 

EXPERIENCE: 

- Prefer two years' experience in a manufacturing environment with hands-on experience and participation in, new product release and former product phase-out, and troubleshooting product problems.
- Experience developing, writing, and negotiating contracts and agreements, ie service, consulting, manufacturing, etc. preferred.
- Experience with SAP purchasing highly desired.
- Experience in developing and working with inventory management systems, ie JIT, ERP, Kanban, EDI, preferred.
