BUYER/PURCHASING PROFESSIONAL is needed for a LONG TERM CONTRACT position with Yoh's client located in Rochester, NY.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Exceptional experience and skills in the purchasing process.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Responsible to support a Cable & Connector Commodity team comprised of a Commodity Manager, three Buyers and an Expeditor.
- Expedite materials, assists with PO placement, RFQ preparation and evaluation.
- Negotiate price and delivery.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelor's degree preferred with five to ten (5-10) years of experience in purchasing.
- Strong communication skills.
- Customer service and the ability to be VERY effective in a fast paced environment.
- Good judgment and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team or group environment to accomplish divisional goals.
- Self-starter and be fairly independent without a great amount of oversight.
- Adept at operating in an environment that is constantly changing and is often not clearly defined
- Experience with US Department of State ITAR (export compliance) Regulation, preferable but not required.
- Strong follow-up skills are necessary.
- Understand the effect of engineering changes on current supply.
- Experience in the Cables & Connectors Commodity preferable, but not required.
- Experience with US Department of State ITAR (export compliance) Regulation, preferable but not required.
