Buyer

Our market leading client is looking for a Buyer of tablets to define the range and deliver innovative and profitable propositions through the translation of customer insight, negotiating the best terms to deliver profitable market share growth.

Duties & Responsibilities of the Buyer:

*Ranging and buying responsibility within the tablet category
*Creating and maintaining supplier relationships
*Negotiating cost prices and other commercial terms to enable the creation of market leading customer propositions, achieve budgeted margin and other commercial targets while also growing market share.
*Full responsibility for the management and delivery of all category supplier REVs
*Daily performance analysis to deliver to key KPI's (Volume, GM, strike rate, market share)
*Annual budget creation and delivery to budget
*Quarterly re-forecasts
*Daily competitor analysis - reviewing impact of wins and losses vs competition
*Briefing of technical detail to marketing team
*Creating and reviewing demand forecasts to support the customer propositions
*Work with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders to deliver
category plans

Skills & Experience

Essential:
*Ambitious self-starter with proven track record in delivering strong commercial results
* Strong negotiation and range creation/management skills
*Strong communication and relationship management skills with internal and external
Stakeholders
*Expert analytical and numerical skills
*Ability to create and interpret sales and margin data to develop tactical and
strategic commercial plans
*Ability to understand interpret customer insight
*Commercial acumen and financial awareness
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills
*Highly skilled in MS Excel and Business Objects
*Competent Powerpoint and Word skills
*Ability to deliver multiple requirements against tight deadlines and react to last minute change
*Ability to work under pressure

Position: Buyer
Location: West London
Package: £400 a day
Duration: 6 month contract
