Business/Systems Analyst - CPIP/TCA

This is a 12 month Contract opportunity. Overview

There are two complementary projects that the Business Systems Analyst will focus on: Capital Planning and Implementation Program (CPIP) and the Tangible Capital Asset (TCA) project. The Business Systems Analyst will assist the projects through analysis, design, asset data mapping, and the implementation of asset data for multiple business units.

Roles and Responsibilities

Project Scope and Project Objectives:

- To synchronize data between the RIVA database and each business units' source(s) of asset data
- To have all business units using RIVA to do life cycle cost analysis using their most current data
- Create a corporate asset registry
- Create environment to meet CPIP objectives and TCA audit requirements
- Create a flexible environment where additional business units can be added over time Deliverables:
- Documentation
- Status reports
- Requirements documentation
- Analyses/Design documentation

Qualifications

Required Skills:

- Experience in data mapping from multiple sources
- SQL querying skills
- Object-oriented analysis and design experience for windows based applications, Visio/UML, Oracle database, application analysis and system design
- Gathering and documenting of business and system requirements experience
- Previous experience with a Windows XP environment and in business analyst roles
- Experience in the development and implementation of test plans
- Data modelling skills
- Excellent communication skills, adaptability, the ability to develop trusted relationships, demonstrating innovation, initiative, a customer service focus, positive ambassadorship and the ability to meet commitments are essential Desired Skills:
- Experience in staging data using Informatica data integration software is preferred
- Experience in creating system architecture documentation (ie System Architecture Design and Database Architecture Design) is preferred
