Business Systems Analyst - BI developer - London - £40K

Business Systems Analyst is required to support the UK & Ireland Hub of a wider organisation. This role will give the right Business Systems Analyst the opportunity to join a market leader within the FMCG industry. Reporting directly to the Business Systems Manager you be responsible for:

­ proactively managing the day to day support and evolution of existing Essbase applications,

­ developing, testing and releasing new Essbase applications,

­ supporting other applications on MS SQL server and Microstrategy,

Taking into account: Customer service excellence, Application management, Project management and Governance processes.

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

­ manage and develop BI applications on a day to day basis to ensure the availability and the effectiveness are meeting the needs of the business,

­ effective functional user support in the BI domain based on internal SLA and KPIs,

­ ensure applications and business processes documentation,

­ identify opportunities for applications' evolutions and optimization.

Key competencies and experience

­ At least 4 years of experience designing and developing on Essbase (v11),

­ Good knowledge of SQL and MS SQL server or other RDMS (Oracle, DB2),

­ Knowledge of other programming languages (VBA, .Net),

­ Process & Business analysis and design in a FMCG context.

Other competencies and experience

­ Knowledge of other BI platforms (Microstrategy, Cognos, Business Objects),

­ Knowledge of other Oracle/Hyperion BI tools.
