Business Systems Analyst

Provide technical expertise to support deployment and defect resolution as part of a larger project team. Supports delivery milestones, and project management activities. Works with application vendor to ensure product meets development standards. Will be looking at defect research/analysis, looking at codes, Scripting, and researching defects for deployment.

Primary Duties:

- Manages deployment of application releases. Reviews release notes, scripts, and tasks to ensure accuracy and technical feasibility.
- Manages project's adherence to the production control process. Holds vendor to standards. Works with project BA to make sure all parties are aligned for project deployments.
- Manages the defect resolution process for all technical related issues. Works with Oracle DBA's, DB2 DBA's, Maintenance team and application developer to ensure defects are resolved in a timely manner. Communicates status to system integrator.
- Supports Project Management activities to include scope development, schedule creation, budgeting, and resource alignment.
- Maintain and enhance engagement with business and IT partners.
- Maintain technical knowledge and business acumen within own discipline or function.

SKILLS:

Skills/Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline and typically 2 to 4 years experience in or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Broad technical expertise with deep technical knowledge of software development and deployment best practices.
- Excellent communications skills - Able to effectively communicate highly technical information in non-technical terminology (written and verbal).
- Applications deployment resource- need to know various application codes and help with defect resolutions and deployment
- Understanding of change management principles associated with new technology implementations.
- Demonstrated leadership ability.
- Understanding of project management principles.
- Strong skills with Oracle, SQL, Scripting
