Business Systems Analyst

This is a contract opportunity on the team responsible for troubleshooting IT-managed Windows Server infrastructure, responding to trouble requests, replacing failed components, and acting as 'smart-hands' for remote management teams. This is a very independent group of Individual Contributors who are all focused on delivering exceptional service to internal customers. Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment working with an exciting, challenging variety of technologies.

JOB FUNCTIONS

- Addresses network issues and working with centralized operations teams
- Manages and maintains an inventory of network spare parts
- Configures and installs new server components
- Works with telephony teams to address issues related to phone, pbx, IP phone and end user issues
- Collaborates with broad range of IT support teams to deliver new projects
- Has responsibility for specific projects ranging in scope from surveys and documentation, to planning and executing deployments
- Must be able to support end users through both written and verbal communications, and must be able to document processes and follow existing predefined processes
- Communicates directly with senior managers as well as working in coordination with other IT teams to assist in service delivery and support, both at the desktop level and the Back End
- Participates as a team member in the implementation and support of systems in a production environment
- Performs complex design analysis, researches alternative approaches and performs cost/benefit/risk analysis.
- Performs highest level of analysis and acts as a consultant for other Systems Analysts
- Ensures appropriate implementation of methodology
- Assists with prioritizing development requests

QUALIFICATIONS

- 2-4 years' work related experience required or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Windows Server and Hyper-V admin experience
- Strong understand of Cisco equipment and networking fundamentals
- Experience with Windows OS environment along with IIS and SQL may be required
- Must have the ability to configure and troubleshoot
- Must be able to communicate effectively and participate as a leader in a team environment
- Must be an effective collaborator and team member
- Strong problem resolution and analytical skills required
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
- Good decision making and customer service skills required
- Sound understanding of networking preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field) or MCSE preferred

This contract position is expected to be 6 months in duration.
