Business Relationship Manager

An excellent opportunity exists for a Senior BRM professional to join a global market leader based near Heathrow. The focus of this role is to effectively build and manage relationships between IT and the business, and then ensure that business requirements are correctly transformed into IT projects.

The Business Relationship Manager (BRM) role would ideally suit someone from a business analysis, project management or SAP consulting background, with the ability to accurately assess and capture business needs, in what is a vast and complex international business. The IT projects in question will have a global focus, so the ability to understand the bigger picture, and understand company strategic priorities is a key requirement. The successful Business Relationship Manager will also be interfacing with the primary IT vendor, as the majority of the IT staff are outsourced. The core ERP solution in use globally is SAP based, so full life cycle experience of projects in a large SAP environment will be a significant plus.

The Business Relationship Manager (BRM) role is a demanding, but potentially highly rewarding role that would suit an individual with vision and the ability to effectively communicate at all levels.

Key requirements:

Capture of business requirements for both Head Office and Group activities and translating these into IT requirements for development of IT projects
Acting as the global process owner for the business process capture & requirements definition process
Primary relationship point for IT service and project delivery issues for Head office
Develop and then implement an agreed business requirement capture and definition process that is common across the group.
Establish strong relationships with external technology vendors
Directs customers to existing or desired technologies as part of solution development
Work closely with the CTO to examine how solutions can be incorporated into the existing architecture Work closely with the Head of IT projects on project pipeline and how future solutions can be incorporated into the project portfolio
Work closely with the Head of IT operations to ensure that any impacts of bringing new solutions into BAU are evaluated and catered for.
Manage IT's customer satisfaction, quality and feedback processes so that performance is soundly managed, targets are recorded and outputs measured and reported.
