Business Project Manager - Prince 2 - NSW Government

A large state government department is looking to appoint an experienced BUSINESS PROJECT MANAGER you will be responsible for ensuring that the project produces the required business products to the required standard of quality and within the specified constraints of time and cost

The successful candidate will also be responsible for, but not limited to;

- Supporting the Project Management community and working to ensure Business goals and objectives are met.
- Ensure transparency into project progress, funding, partnerships, prioritisation, risks and resource availability via successful communication with senior leadership, stakeholders and project teams.
- Review and analyse business processes, re-engineer as necessary to improve efficiency, effectiveness and/or usability using strategic analysis techniques and process models.
- Ensure that all project management functions are undertaken in a professional manner and in accordance with the department methodologies and protocols.
- Provide verbal and written communications regarding project status, risks, issues, and makes recommendations for remediation or change in accordance with the established processes

The successful candidate will need to meet the following criteria;

- High level of experience with Business-only projects (projects without IT components).
- Demonstrated superior project management skills or qualifications preferably in Prince2 and experience with the full project life cycle ensuring that deliverables meet client requirements.
- Ability to work effectively with senior leaders and drive progress in the face of ambiguous or changing situations.
- Knowledge of and experience in Organizational Change Management.
- Experience in project financial management and reporting.
