BUSINESS PROCESS ANALYST - ACTUARIAL BASED - DUBLIN
My Dublin based Life & Pensions client require a Business Analyst who could work with the Business in relation to review of their processes, particularly process in the Investment Actuarial/unit pricing sphere.
The key responsibilities of the role are as follows:
- To be accountable for the assessment of current business processes that exist for business departments such as Customer Experience, Investment Actuarial, Product Development and the With Profit team
- Where there are gaps at the process level agree the gap with the business department and confirm who within the business steam is best place to support the other team of general BA's in drafting the business process
- For the gaps identified, draft a business process using the relevant sets of product Terms and Conditions and review and agree the new process with the business team
- For existing business processes, assess the process against the relevant sets of product Terms and Conditions and identify any gaps or changes needed
- Where there are gaps, or changes needed, amend the existing processes to show the changes needed and agree the changes with the business team
- Ensure that any changes to business processes take account of any changes needed to staffing level or experience
- Ensure that new processes or changes to existing processes take account of other change initiatives e.g. Systems Thinking or Portfolio Transfer
QUALIFICATIONS:
The candidate should be a highly experienced Business Analyst with significant experience of Life Assurance products and administration systems.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Ideally candidates will have the following knowledge, skills and experience:
- Be innovative & have the ability to apply Business Analyst expertise to practical business situations
- Knowledge of the financial structure and operation of life and pensions products and in particular have a strong knowledge of the structures of unit linked, with profit and term insurance products
- Knowledge and experience of process design and review
- Propose innovative solutions and alternative approaches
