Business Objects Developer - Brussels

FOR A LONG TERM ROLE IN BRUSSELS, FUJITSU TECHNOLOGY SERVICES ARE LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED BO DEVELOPER, WITH MINIMUM 9 YEARS OF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE TASKS

The tasks to be performed cover the complete life cycle of a BI information system analysis, construction, and maintenance.

Under MDR.A.3 supervision, and in close relation with the business unit owners of the future information system, the service provider will assume and/or assist in delivering the following tasks:

- Analysis of the business requirements
- Perform technical analysis and produce technical documentation
- Implementation of data extraction, transformation and sourcing procedures
- Prototype and development of datamarts, BO business universes as well as BO custom reports
- Elaboration of test and validation procedures
- Assist with deployment and configuration of the system
- Assist and training to users in building custom reports
- Assist administrating datamarts and BO universes
- Assist with deployment and configuration of the system
- Participate in meetings with the internal and external services/partners

WORKING ENVIRONMENT, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

The tasks to be performed, MDR.A.3 working environment, and its development projects' life cycle require the following knowledge and skills:

- Extended professional experience in handling similar Business Intelligence projects
- In depth knowledge of Business Objects products (Reporting, Infoview, Designer, Supervisor)
- In depth knowledge of relational database systems (SQL, PL/SQL).
- Good knowledge of modelling tools and reverse engineering tools for relational database
- Good knowledge of ETL process and available tools
- Good knowledge of software development methodologies (eg RUP)
- Ability to integrate and work in a team while requiring a certain level of autonomy
- Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application developments
- Ability to work (speaking/writing) in English for all project artifacts and meetings, and
- a good understanding of French
- Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, ease of communication.
- Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid selfstarting
- capability, self motivated and experience in team working.
- Good knowledge of development life cycle management tools (eg RTC) is an asset

All information system projects managed by MDR.A.3 make full use of the Rational Unified Process methodology as well as Rational Team Concert, Rational Software analyzer, Rational Functional Tester and RequisitePro tools.
