Business Intelligence Manager - 6 Month Contract

My client is offering an attractive opportunity for a finance professional qualified in accounting in or around the Edinburgh area. Based on a 6 month contract, the successful candidate will provide financial insight and decision support across a range of Retail Finance initiatives, including budgeting, forecasting, strategy reviews, investment appraisals and performance monitoring.

Basic outline of duties:

- Relationship management
- Support the delivery of financial projects, and identify and communicate key messages to internal Finance customers and Business Partners
- Manage delivery of ad hoc projects based on prioritised customer needs from both business partner and commercial/distribution managers
- Collate, review and challenge individual business returns to provide insightful, consolidated communications and presentations for Executive and Senior Management audiences
- Production of Board/Management reporting for Executive committees as needed

Essential skills:

- CA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, MBA or equivalent qualification
- Previous experience in Accountancy and Business Analytics within Banking or Financial services
- Previous experience in Business Intelligence
- An ability to communicate complex financial information in a digestible, non-technical manner
- Good working knowledge of financial strategy
