Business Intelligence Integration Manager Cognos

Mission Description:

We are looking for a resourceful and ambitious IT professional to strengthen our BI center of excellence team, able to act as Business Intelligence technical expert across planning, consolidation and self-service reporting domains.

More in details his/her tasks will include:

Mission responsibilities:

. Platform ownership of the Cognos TM1, Cognos Controller, Cognos Café, IBM Disclosure Management, Qlikview platforms
. Leads the technical platform implementations and managing the vendors involved
. Generally designs, operates or maintains Business intelligence technology projects and platforms
. Performs quality checks and approve the solution definition and technical designs of the ongoing BI projects
. Responsible for the life cycle of the platforms owned.
. Management of the interfaces between the different systems, validates technical implementation
. Maintains oversight systems linked with the Reporting services
. Acts as member of joint Governance Team, with a focus on technical/architecture issues
. Provides a complete understanding of reporting and analytics solutions - how new/emerging technology may support the Reporting roadmap
. Validates the development activities estimates provided by the vendors.
. Managing interests and expectations of various business and IT stakeholders
. Ensures consistent use and reuse of BICoE Best Practices related to the design and architecture.
. Establishes best practice for development activities, split of environments, follow up that the factory ensures vendors and client best practices
. Implements and manages the quality controls for each technical component of the solution
. Relates with the partner in charge of maintenance of the BI platforms to ensure the housekeeping is in place and working.

Specific professional/technical expertise and key skills required:

. 8+ years successful analytics solution experience.
. Bachelor's degree in a relevant business or technical field required.
. A previous experience in a similar role within an outsourcing model is highly desired
. Strong knowledge and experience in developing and delivering Software as a Service and Software in premises and cloud environments.
. Strong visual design and business information presentation skills and experience.
. BI Dashboard design, development and report development experience with multiple tools and data sources
. Strong knowledge of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
. Experience in Cognos TM1, Cognos Controller, Cognos Café, Disclosure Management, Qlikview
. Working knowledge of Business Intelligence Server Administration, security, installation and configuration.
. Business and technical competency in analytics solutions
. Excellent analytical, problem solving and debugging skills, with strong ability to quickly learn and comprehend business processes and problems in order to effectively develop technical solutions.
. Engineering development experience across the entire development life cycle.
. Energetic, Enthusiastic and Positive attitude. Customer focused
. Ability to drive success in all levels of software development, from analysis, design through implementation and support
. Strong project management skills
. Ability and experience with analytical software solutions, designing, developing and delivering
. Excellent written communication skills
. English, French is an asset
