Business Intelligence Analyst (Business Objects/SQL/PL/SQL)

BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ANALYST (Business Objects/SQL/PL/SQL/BOXI/WEBINTELLIGENCE/ QLIKVIEW)

The contract is with a large consultancy based in Brussels to be on assignment at a client site in central Brussels. The client is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst with specific expertise in Business Objects to contribute to the development and operation of its IS systems.

SKILLS:

- In-depth knowledge of data warehouse architecture
- In-depth knowledge of relational database systems used as sources of the data warehouse and BO universes
- In depth knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL
- In depth knowledge of Business Intelligence reporting tools (specifically BOXI/WebIntelligence, BO Data Services) and dashboarding tools (specifically QlikView)
- Good knowledge of ETL tools (specifically BO Data Services)
- Good knowledge of modelling tools
- Good knowledge of online analytical data processing (OLAP) and data mining tools
- Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application developments

- Design and development of online analytical data processing (OLAP)
- Creation and maintenance of a data warehouse
- Gathering business requirements
- Development of data mining solutions
- ETL processes
- Datamodelling
- Design and development of reporting applications
- Physical DB design
- DB performance analysis
- Elaboration of test programs
- Writing of technical documentation
- Assistance with deployment and configuration of the system
- Participation in meetings with the project teams.

MS Office is used for office automation.

Internet Explorer is the web browser, though compatibility to the most used browsers must be maintained for the modules accessed from the Internet.

The methodology used for IS development is based on RUP and JIRA/SVN.

The technical environment is based on Oracle, ColdFusion, Adobe Forms and SAP Business Objects/QlikView.
