Business Intelligence Analyst

Our hugely popular client is seeking an outstanding Business Intelligence Analyst to build and analyze BI reports using the next generation BI technologies. This candidate will be joining the fulfillment team that is responsible for managing the client's fast growing network of external fulfillment partners and strategic fulfillment solutions. The team processes thousands of transactions every day through the different fulfillment options it manages.

This is a culture of data-driven decision-making, and demands Business Intelligence that is timely, accurate, and actionable. As a BI Analyst, you will be developing and analysing complex reports requiring large amounts of data. You will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions using a number of proprietary and third party BI tools, which will handle the growing business needs. You will also be responsible to resolve customer order exceptions, in an effort to maintain best in class customer service and work towards systemic improvements to eliminate exceptions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Collect, analyze and present actionable data to business leaders.
- Design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions.
- Learn and understand a broad range of Amazon's data resources and know when, how, and which to use and which not to use.
- Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation.
- Interface with Operations Program Managers Senior Leaders and help steer business decisions by making recommendations based on trends in the data.
- Manage customer order exceptions every day and ensure shipments are processed in a timely manner.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- 4+ years of relevant experience in a Business Intelligence role, including data warehousing and Business Intelligence tools, techniques and technology, or experience in analytics, business analysis or comparable consumer analytics solutions
- 3+ years of relevant experience using Business Intelligence reporting tools (OBIEE, Business Objects, etc.)
- Experience in data mining (SQL, ETL, Datawarehouse, etc.) and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex, proprietary datasets
- Advanced SQL, MS Excel, VBA and XML skills and knowledge of data warehousing concepts
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills and an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Finance, Statistics or related discipline
- Ideal candidate would have excellent analytical abilities, strong technical skills, superior written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams; Self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, able to think big (while paying careful attention to detail), and enjoy working in a fast-paced dynamic environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience driving small to medium sized projects
- Knowledge of Lean Methodologies

This contract position is expected to be 3 months in duration.
