BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ANALYST: 6 MONTH CONTRACT

This role sits within a Network Operations team in one of Irelands largets financial institutions. This multi-discipline team harness the power of large data sets, cutting edge analytics and systems to provide accurate, insightful and measurable outputs to all stakeholders. We use our problem solving and technical skills to tackle business challenges. We are responsible for creating a single customer view; managing the customer data life cycle; understanding and improving the omni-channel customer journey; integrated digital engagement capabilities for inboundpredictive modelling and the measurement & effectiveness of customer engagements. That's just for starters!

BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ANALYST IN CUSTOMER ANALYTICS HAS RESPONSIBILITY TO:

- Work closely with channels, customer propositions, marketing, product areas and finance to understand the Business Intelligence requirements and insight needs of all end users, from customer facing staff to the banks senior management team. Ensure that the BI strategy and agreed solutions are an excellent fit for their evolving needs and have tangible business benefits.
- Best in class data visualisation techniques. Ability to make complex data easy to understand to a non-technical audience.
- Contribute to the development of the BI team's skills, culture and impact for the benefit of end users.
- Define and document business requirements, communications and dashboard end user training materials through collaborative stakeholder engagement.
- Communicate clearly to many different audiences both technical and non-technical.
- Use analytical and statistical tools to extract, model, interpret and display information outputs.
- Manage and maintain data sources and dashboards to deliver consistent messages to our stakeholders.
- Manage assigned projects and adhere to project methodology standards.

MINIMUM CRITERIA:

The following criteria are essential:

- A motivated self-starter who can work with little supervision and in a collaborative team environment.
- Proven academic record (IT/Maths/Statistics/Analytics - to degree level).
- Minimum 2 years' work experience in a similar environment.
- Experience and a strong interest in Datamodelling, data querying, data manipulation and visualisation of data outputs (1 or more of SQL/Tableau/Qlikview/Business Objects or similar).
- A proven track record in demonstrating a systematic, disciplined, analytical and customer focused approach to problem solving.
- An excellent communicator, comfortable interacting with people at various levels across business and IT functions.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a changing and challenging environment with a record of producing high quality business and information analysis deliverables against an aggressive schedule.
- Previous experience working with Teradata/SQL and QlikView a plus.
