Business/Functional Analyst - Credit Risk (Basel II) - French/Dutch

BUSINESS/FUNCTIONAL ANALYST - CREDIT RISK (BASEL II) - FRENCH/DUTCH

My international financial client is seeking an experienced Business/Functional Analyst to work in the Credit Risk Management department with a team in charge of the set-up of the risk data and calculation infrastructures.

Several projects are currently led by Risk Business Architecture:

- The implementation of a new risk calculator
- The implementation of acquisition scoring
- The implementation of automated decision models
- The implementation of BCBS239
- The finalisation of an interactive reporting environment
- The implementation of data lineage and data governance process
- GDPR: The implementation of EU directive

The aim of these projects is to extend the Risk Infrastructure by consolidating all necessary data in a common database and leveraging for the other missions of the Risk department. The basic infrastructure has been in place since September 2013. The current goal is to extend the data store and to develop the different applications used to calculate, monitor and manage Credit Risk.

MAIN TASKS:

- Perform business and functional analysis in order to translate business requirements from the Risk department into detailed specifications
- Implement algorithms in C# (FACT)
- Develop SQL queries (Sybase IQ) as part of report development
- Use SQL queries (SQL Server, Oracle) for test & analysis purposes
- Document data transformation (ETL) rules

REQUIRED TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE:

- Medium to expert knowledge of standard MS Tools and technologies: SQL/C#/VBA/Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook/Access
- Thorough SQL experience
- Functional/Technical analysis skills
- Programming capabilities
- Testing capabilities

REQUIRED BUSINESS EXPERIENCE

- Working in a large company/complex business environment

PREFERRED TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE:

- Experience with XML/SOAP
- Experience with C# programming
- Experience with MQ Series

PREFERRED BUSINESS EXPERIENCE

- Credit/Credit Risk knowledge (Basel II)
- Economics and/or mathematical background

LANGUAGE SKILLS

- English: Fluent writing - Good in speaking and understanding
- Dutch and/or French: Fluent in speaking and understanding - Good in writing

EDUCATION

- University Degree Preferred
- Comfortable with medium complexity mathematical notation
- Focus on mathematics in education or professional experience
