Business Partner/Finance Manager

Role Summary:

To lead on the development and implementation of robust financial management and rigorous controls for Major Projects and influence future years financial and business planning; governance and business management.

To partner Major Projects senior management in developing resilient financial and accounting policies, systems and processes which minimise the risk of financial loss and improve directorate performance in line with organisational targets and objectives.

To provide specialist input and guidance on the application of financial strategy, policy and procedure and business systems and mechanisms which promote efficient business reporting to inform effective decision making,

Candidate Profile:

Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or Part Qualified with considerable relevant experience in applying generally accepted accounting practices with the knowledge and competence to use industry standard accounting systems and accounting software.

Considerable post qualification experience of working in a project finance environment

Advanced Excel Capabilities

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Ability to grasp the realities and complexities of the business and to understand the implications of applying specialist knowledge.

Ability to assimilate and convey complex and challenging information to both financial and non financial audiences.

Ability to drive effective change management and continuous improvement activities to achieve organisational objectives.

GBP 260 to GBP 270 a day

6 to 12 Month contract
