JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Business Development Specialist is responsible for providing administrative, technical support and customer support to promote the expansion of business. This role is also the primary liaison and point of contact for all Sales related tactical issues pertaining to the sales process cycle surrounding other functional groups such as Credit, Contracts, Pricing and Operations. This position owns and maintains the input of data into Siebel and generates/analyzes various reports for Sales.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide data support to commodity sales professionals. Identify and respond to RFP's. Owns accuracy and integrity of customer data in Siebel. Maintains data accuracy on any changes in customer data (ownership changes for example). Responsible for preparation of all requests as it relates to sales (Credit, Contracts, Quotes, Orders). Primary liaison between Sales and other functional groups. Solves problems that arise in any segment of the sales pipeline from suspect identification through invoicing including Credit, Contracts, Legal and other issues. Create Sales reports as requested by Sales reps.

SKILLS:

- Ability to manage several different tasks simultaneously, strong analytical skills, high energy, attention to detail, problem-solving, independent decision-making, proactive, savvy using CRM systems.
- Very comfortable using Microsoft Office (especially Outlook and Excel), able to work in fast paced environment, flexibility on the job and the ability to work under multiple daily deadlines.
- Extremely personable and level-headed; team oriented, exceptional written and oral communication skills to function in a team environment and to maintain rapport with employees and customers.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's Degree is required along with up to 3 years of business experience. The ideal candidate would be a new grad with less than 2 years of professional experience. Potential for travel if/when needed. Flexibility of schedule to stay overtime if/when needed.
