Business Data Architect - Sheffield

My client is a Tier 1 bank seeking a Business Data Architect to act as a hands-on team lead overseeing the integration of disparately developed business-centric data models

(Contract £450 - £550)

The successful candidate will:

- Work with End to End Tooling PM and SMEs to:
- Coordinate analysts during the identification and classification of physical data base schema assets
- Actively drive the Data Inventory (physical data base schema repository) strategic requirements and target operating model
- Work with Golden Source PM to:
- Assist with managing stakeholders engaging with the work stream (project managers and business/data analysts)
- Support projects using the Golden Source Framework to identifying data sources
- Actively drive the further elaboration of the Golden Source Framework
- Actively drive the design and implementation of the Golden Source BAU operating mode
- Build strong relationships with engaging projects, stakeholders, Group DMO contacts and BDA team by accurately documenting decisions, conversations and objections
- Communicate the importance of managing data as an asset in all aspects of the role
- Demonstrate willingness to take on additional tasks and/or duties as needed
- Set an example for team members when faced with adversity.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

- Experience working in development of business analysis and business data requirements across different sectors of FINANCIALSERVICES industry
- Experience of working in development of business data and information models
- Experience working and integrating business data models with business capabilities and IT capabilities
- Experience in both top down and bottom up data analysis
- Solid understanding and experience of integrating business data architectures with IT data architecture
- Ability to develop cohesive working relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
- Ability to bring analytical rigour and structure and effective solutions to poorly-defined problems
- Experience working with senior stakeholders in a global environment
