BUSINESS CONTINUITY AND HEALTH & SAFETY - GLASGOW - £170-£210PD

Our GLASGOW based client has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced BUSINESS CONTINUITY AND HEALTH & SAFETY EXECUTIVE for a contract going through UNTIL DECEMBER 2015.

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Programmes the role holder will work closely with other members of the Property & Facilities team, staff throughout the organisation, external providers, appropriate statutory bodies including Health & Safety Executive and Scottish Government and where appropriate, Trade Unions.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

BUSINESS CONTINUITY

- Develop and coordinate the production, maintenance and review of the portfolio of corporate business continuity plans
- Prepare, deliver and implement a corporate business continuity awareness programme, including the delivery of appropriate staff training
- Coordinate response arrangements enabling and facilitating the identification of critical functions, events that could disrupt delivery of services, recovery priorities and critical resources required to maintain services
- Develop, deliver and evaluate a structured exercise programme that will test the effectiveness of business continuity plans and preparedness of staff
- Manage the Business Continuity budget and contracts
- Investigate BC incidents and provide accurate reporting back to management

HEALTH & SAFETY

- Develop and coordinate the production, maintenance and review of the portfolio of corporate health & safety policies and procedures
- Ensure the Company's Health and Safety Policy is implemented consistently across the organization
- Work with managers and staff to ensure risk assessments are prepared and reviewed as necessary
- Influence and assist line managers in implementing Health and Safety systems and procedures to meet specific requirements, such as accident reporting, in a consistent and effective manner
- Manage the Health & Safety budget and contracts
- Undertake accident and RIDDOR investigations
- Oversee a monitoring, inspection and auditing procedure to ensure the effective management of health and safety throughout the organisation including quarterly H&S checks by H&S Coordinators of approximately 40 sites and annual checklists of approximately 120 3rd party sites
