Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Specialist (Telecoms)

RESPONSIBILITIES;

- Review existing Disaster Recovery Plans.
- Review existing backup procedures.
- Review Network architecture and high value nodes.
- Identify high risk areas or areas or key single point of failure.
- Conduct Risk analysis and identify and categorize outage exposures that could cause a major business interruption,
- Develop network resiliency and contingency plans
- Develop recovery procedures in the event of a business interruption
- Provide procedures and training on Contingency Planning concepts and Disaster Recovery procedures
- Ensure that Corporate Asset Protection procedures cover critical Business Areas

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS;

- In-depth knowledge and background in major Telecommunications Networks (Fixed & Mobile)
- 15 years plus in Network Engineering and Design at a Senior Level
- Experience of reporting to CXX or board level
- Knowledge and experience of network architectures and potential risk areas.
- Experience of preparing Disaster Recovery Plans for highly developed, technology rich Networks
- Planning and Design for Network Infrastructure including TOC, NOC and Data Centres.
- Knowledge and understanding of Power requirements for major buildings in the Network.
- Experience of protection methodologies for natural disasters (flood, earthquake, fire).
- Knowledge and experience of Implementation procedures and requirements for NOCs, TOC, Data Centres.
- Knowledge of International building standards for NOC and Data Centres, etc.
- Degree level academic and technical Qualifications
