We are seeking an IT Risk Business Continuity Analyst with proven ability to lead small and medium sized teams, experience of Business Continuity, producing recovery plans and leading recovery activities. The initial contract runs until December 2015 and you will be working for a high profile Financial Services organisation, based in Buckinghamshire.
ROLE SUMMARY
To work within the IT Risk, IT Continuity function, leading, supporting and assisting in a range of Business Continuity requirements, including but not limited to Crisis Management, Business Continuity Planning, and Work Area Recovery. Reporting to the Deputy Head of IT Risk.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and assist where required the co-ordination, planning and execution of business continuity testing activities
Producing and maintaining business continuity documentation and plans
Providing quality assurance on behalf of the banks businesses for 3rd Party partners business continuity solutions
Lead recovery activities during incident or testing
Identifying and managing service continuity risks and issues
Production of Management Information for presentation to the senior management team and the Bank
Analysing existing capabilities and devising tactical and strategic solutions where appropriate
Developing and implementing new processes and procedures
Providing advice and consultancy on business continuity best practices
You must be prepared to work flexibly with travel between sites and undertake out of hours working and on-call duties as and when required
ESSENTIAL
An outstanding understanding of Business Continuity disciplines in a Business and IT environment
Proven ability to lead small and medium sized teams, taking responsibility for the delivery of IT continuity projects and activities
Extensive experience of producing recovery plans and leading testing activities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to engage a wide audience
Excellent planning and coordination skills with an ability to negotiate and influence technical and business personnel
Must be proactive and a self-starter with ability to work under pressure and with others
Experience of Project management gained from working within projects and leading small projects or work streams
Excellent problem solving ability generating effective solutions to problems of a technical, personal and social nature
Calm and collected in the face of a crisis
Proficient in use Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word and Project is necessary as is the ability to create tables, presentations and reports using these tools.
The successful candidate will be expected to provide out of hours support, and to travel to other sites
