Business and Data Analyst

Data/Business Analyst background within a financial institution.

A balance of distinct skills are required, technical awareness matched with attention to detail and the ability to own processes and documentation.

Experience of requirements gathering, agreeing and writing technical specifications eg design of batch systems.

*Process and/or Datamodelling experience. Information gathering, data analysis and organising skills. Can plan, design and communicate solutions effectively.
*Awareness and understanding of operational testing. Systems Integration, Regression and UAT.
*Awareness and understanding of principles of structured programming (preferably worked with technology such as SQL).

*Support document maintenance
oDocumenting data extracts
oWhat technology is used
oContact names
oOwn relationships with Dev teams.

*Own process of transformation of tactical manual data feeds to automated approach
oIdentify jobs and assign them names
oOwn and transmit file spec to batch services.

*Engagement with Powercentre build design team (ETL)
oLiase with Dev teams - advise requirements for technical build
oEnsuring that the correct data is obtained - ie data matches what is on the data request form.

*Mainframe Back Office knowledge and awareness
oDocument new process and support model.
