Business Analyst - Volcker Programme

We are currently hiring for a BUSINESS ANALYST to work on a VOLCKER PROGRAMME for a TIER 1 BANK base in LONDON.

This is an urgent hire.

ROLE & KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

The Volcker Programme will prepare the Global Banking and Markets business for the full impact of the Volcker rule. This will require definition and implementation of new compliance activity, structural and functional business model changes at trading book and entity level and new reporting requirements in order to demonstrate global conformance.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

- Strong analytical and documentation skills, be detail oriented, and has a proven track record of writing business requirements and working through to their implementation.
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to interact effectively with colleagues of varying degrees of knowledge and with different skills sets.
- Strong internal stakeholder engagement skills (leadership, influencing, negotiation), and the ability to work with senior/MD level stakeholders across different disciplines (Trading Desk Heads, Business Management, Risk, Product Control, Compliance, etc).
- 'Self starter' able to take the initiative, be able to work with limited supervision and can facilitate meetings/workshops/working groups as required.
- A banking background with strong business experience.
- Worked on large change projects Volcker, DFA, EMIR, or other regulatory directives essential
- The ability to offer solutions in a dynamic and fast-paced business environment
