This position is a part of the California Claims & Encounter Strategy Program (CCES) and will support the implementation of infrastructure and deployment.
This project will consolidate all Claims systems throughout regions and streamline business practices across multiple departments and functions.
Primary responsibility will be to support the Business Intelligence development team in the development of documentation supporting the solutions (requirements, design and training) and participating in business unit meetings to help in the gathering and understanding of business requirements related to the development efforts.
Integrate effectively with the Health Plan data strategy and provide support to the success of that program.
May participate in the development and execution of test scripts and record results, submit defects, collaborate with various other project team members and report findings to development team members for escalation of critical issues in a timely manner.
Participates in project management process, including participating in project meetings. May document issues, action items, user requirements, or deliverables from project meetings.
Ensures high quality and accuracy is maintained through to release of designed Business Intelligence Solutions (ie Dashboards, Reports).
Participate in solution release-related meetings (solution design document review, handover, and test script review meetings).
Provides application support for Business Intelligence solutions through research and assisting of the resolution of technical and functional issues.
Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas.

Business Analylst -
Top 3-5 required skills:
-3+ years of Business Analysis experience
-3+ years experience related to business/technical writing
-Excellent Communication (Written and Verbal) Skills
-Broad-based knowledge of information technology and applications
-Ability to work independently and within team units

Minimum years of experience required: 3+ years experience minimum

Top 3-5 daily responsibilities:
-Engagement with business teams to gather, understand and document business requirements as related to Business Intelligence/Reporting solutions.
-Creation and maintenance of documentation supporting Business Intelligence Solutions, including design and training materials.
-Assisting in the design and review of test cases as related to Business Intelligence Solutions.

Desired skills:
-Strong Healthcare background a plus
-Exposure to Cognos Business Intelligence Dashboards and tools a plus
-Project Planning
