Business Analyst/Strategist

This posting is for a Business Analyst/Strategist to work with a unit based in Bologna in Italy. The opportunity is to work on an eCommerce solution in the fashion/retail sector. Italian not essential.

The role will involve:

- An eCommerce solution in the fashion/retail sector;
- The migration and update of applications from a .NET environment to a Java environment;
- Understand how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements;
- Work with stakeholders, support groups and vendors to resolve issues and obtain agreement on the proposed solution;
- Gather user requirements;
- Experience in relationship management and workshop facilitation;
- Co-ordinate the testing of business solutions and ensure they conform to business requirements becoming involved in higher level testing where necessary;
- Lead meetings and workshops with representatives from other relevant business areas;
- Co-ordinate the acquisition and analysis of data to identify business issues and opportunities;
- In conjunction with Project Managers develop project specifications and terms of reference and agree project schedules and budgets;
- In conjunction with the project manager define or modify the scope of the project, particularly business analysis activities, where appropriate ;
- Using the data collated from the business analysis stage, take informed decisions to influence the direction of the project and shape of the solution to be put in place, ensuring it is the optimum solution for the business;
- Develop hypothesis to address the project requirements and suggest a range of solutions based on specific selection criteria to the business issues identified;
- The analyst must have experience in Business Analysis and have experience of using formal methods for requirements analysis.
