RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provides Business Analysis support for clinical trial specimen tracking by working with project managers, external labs, internal labs, clinical sites, Alliance Partners and business partners.
- Performs customer requirements analysis, documentation life cycle and change management, design input and validation against requirements, and test development and execution.
- Establishes relationships with customers, mentioned above, and members of the project teams and liaises between the business and technical members of the project team, ensuring understands the customer needs are understood
- Acts as an advocate for the customers while simultaneously identifying areas like business process, that need to be changed within the business for project success or continuous improvement
- Defines the requirements management approach and change management plan to be used for the project.
- Provides input to the project work breakdown structure and the overall project plan
- Utilizes a variety of techniques to elicit requirements from stakeholders, analyzes, organizes, documents and validates the resulting requirements, and communicates and secures agreement on the requirements across stakeholders
- Identifies areas or risks due to requirements and surfaces to the project manager
- Builds, validates and updates diagrams, models and other artifacts to describe business processes, conceptual information models, organizational structure, business area context and/or system requirements
- May be involved in development of scripts, macros or other tools that interface with the application or database
- Establishes the requirements baseline and traces requirements throughout the project life cycle
- Manages change in requirements over the project life cycle and partners to assess the impact on the project scope
- Provides input on design to ensure that the design meets the requirements
- Supports the development of the testing plan and scripts, the execution of UAT testing and ensures that all requirements are met in the final solution
- In partnership with the Engagement Manager or site team, performs and/or contributes to enterprise and local projects.

SKILLS

Bachelor's degree required. Previous experience in project level business analysis is needed. Six Sigma Certification and Continuous improvement experience is a plus. Excellent skills in verbal and written communication, consensus building and the ability to rapidly understand a new business domain are essential. Must have understanding of the specimen collection process in Clinical Trials. Must have extensive experience in the following: Business Process Management; Requirements Planning and Requirements Change Management; Requirements Analysis and Documentation; Requirements Elicitation; Enterprise Life Cycle concepts; Understanding of Business Analysis Tools and processes, eg elicitation techniques, techniques for analysing, documenting and communicating including but not limited to process modelling, conceptual data modelling, use cases and wireframes. Must have excellent analytical skills and 4-7 years of pharmaceutical experience.
