Business Analyst - Sharepoint

Provide technical assistance on user-side projects implementing SharePoint 2010 and migrating content to SharePoint 2013; user acceptance testing, post-migration governance, capability enhancement and administration maintenance activities for multiple site collections that span a global scientific business unit.

The analyst will rely on established internal conventions and guidance to perform the functions of the job. The position requires direct interaction with user-side program management and site owners as needed for technical implementation of SharePoint business strategies. The Analyst will report into a user-side organization, not Information Technology.

SKILLS:

REQUIRED:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical training, and 4-6 years of experience in the field to ensure firm knowledge of related, commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures.
- Must possess thorough knowledge of SharePoint 2010 and 2013 user side site collection implementations, managing permissions, content handling and post-migration administration maintenance.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
- Demonstrable experience with IT-system counterpart interactions, technical implementation, site/object settings and end-user interactions/maintenance with solid multitasking skills is required.
- Advanced skill with document library, list and Web Part settings to establish efficient data/file arrangements and collaborative data environments in SharePoint is highly preferred.
- Experience with any or all of the following is a definite plus: new site or object setup, SharePoint Designer, Design Manager, Nintext workflow tool and/or InfoPath forms.
- Understanding of SharePoint architecture, enterprise and configuration management will be helpful.
