PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAMME

The Simplification programme aims to make the business leaner and more efficient. This includes everything from products to processes and systems to structure. The Credit Cards Simplification programme will complete the integration work for the Credit Cards Business.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

As part of Credit Cards Back book migration we require dedicated experienced Business Analysts with both the experience of the Credit Cards Business and Migrations. The successful person will be responsible for working with the business through the analytical phases of the project to identify and describe the requirements for change.  They will evaluate the business impact of these changes and ensure that they are properly tested before implementation and validated afterwards.  

This specific role requires an analyst to provide support to the Portfolio Analytics & Reporting (PA&R) team as a Senior Risk Analyst.  This role will support the Regulatory Reporting function, to ensure accurate, timely and compliant reporting of the credit risk information that forms part of the statutory and regulatory disclosures throughout the divestment transition phases.  This includes FSA Integrated Regulatory Reporting, Basel Pillar 3 and IFRS7.

Key Responsibilities:

Analytical support for ongoing management and delivery of the Basel Regulatory including:

- Delivery of the Basel Regulatory reporting (Pillar 1, Pillar 3, Integrated regulatory reporting
- Production and delivery of Analysis and results to senior management level
- Resolution of technical queries and issues relating to data and/or process issues
- Involvement in business process re-design and production of process documentation, changes to existing reporting and build of new reporting
- Assisting in UAT where required

CORE SKILLS

- RETAIL BANKING
- Experience of programming in SAS and SQL
- Strong MS Office Abilities
- Highly computer literate with the ability to work with a variety of PC packages
- The ability to utilise data in various formats and show resourcefulness in investigating data sources
- Strong analytical skills and use of influencing skills when sourcing data from other areas
- Experience of working on Projects

DESIRED SKILLS

- A good all round business knowledge of unsecured portfolios, especially in aspects of bad debt management in a credit risk environment
- familiarity with the Group data warehouses, especially PDW, GRiD, DCDA, CDS, Le Mans and Debt Manager
