Business Analyst - Regulatory Rates IT

Role Requirements

A successful candidate will need to have Front and Middle Office trading systems experience, solid Rates product knowledge and must be familiar with SDLC processes.

The candidate will be equally at ease discussing business and technical issues, and be able to contribute to finding solutions.

Main Duties
This is a 'hands on' role, requiring:
*Business analysis for Rates IT Regulatory projects but also working with counterparts on global regulatory reporting projects.
*Keeping abreast with the region regulatory requirements especially in mandatory derivatives transactions reporting.
*Creation of robust project plans, Identify and managing risks.
*Managing project dependencies and resources across multiple teams spread across different time zones.
*Managing numerous stakeholders and sponsors, acting as a single point of contact for rates IT.
*Managing the delivery of the projects, tracking milestones and contingent plans.
*Clear, complete and accurate updates.
*Business Analysis skills with the ability to create specification documents and understand technical aspects of project
*Ability to drive efficient and productive conference calls, to explain and walkthrough business requirements or issues.
*Ability to run working groups, create and walkthrough weekly update packs.
*Ability to plan and coordinate system testing and UAT activities.
*Problem solving and ownership for issue resolution.

Person Requirements
Qualifications/Education:
Essential - Good academic qualifications with a relevant Degree/equivalent is essential.
Preferred - Degree in Business, Banking or Financial Discipline is preferred.

Experience required:
Essential -
*Min 5 years experience in Investment Banking preferably in Technology (PM), Operations or Business Support role
*Prior experience in regulatory reporting projects is a plus
*Demonstrable experience & knowledge of end to end process flows for Rates products.
*Analytical aptitude (Strong Excel skills) is essential.
*Clear & concise verbal and written communication skills are a necessity.
*Strong problem solving skills
*Risk identification, management and mitigation.
*Organized and pays attention to detail.
*Strong documentation skills with prior experience in producing quality business requirements, functional specs, and test plan, etc.
*Experienced in taking ownership for investigating, finding solutions and closing issues.
*Previous experience working on major project life cycles
