Business Analyst - Process Mapping, BPMN, UML

A QLD Government Department currently requires an experienced Business Analyst to join their team for an initial 6 month contract. The successful candidate will assist in identifying and implementing initiatives to improve how the education system can help those people with disabilities.

Duties to be performed by the Business Analyst will include (but not limited to):- - Providing guidance and support to team peers, including definition of project strategy and approach
- Process mapping of as-is' and to-be' states using formal methodologies
- Facilitate User Acceptance Testing process including the creation of User Acceptance Test Plan, Scripts and Cases
- Provide input into implementation plans including deployment, change management, communications and training

To be considered for this role you will have the following;

- Ability to effectively liaise with business and technical stakeholders to identify and validate ICT business requirements.
- Ability to elicit and model existing business processes using Business Process Modelling Notation (BPMN).
- Ability to lead the business in redesigning/optimising business processes to solve business problems and/or take advantage of business opportunities;
- Ability to identify and document: Functional system requirements utilising Unified Modelling Language (UML) - in particular UML User Cases and Non-functional system requirements;
- Demonstrated ability to model and document logical system design specifications
