BUSINESS ANALYST/MUREX/BACK OFFICE/ACCOUNTING/SQL/XML/MUREX EXPERT/UNIX/FINANCIAL MARKETS

The Business Analysis role for the Murex platform is one in which the "T-shaped profile" is of great importance, because it will involve both analysis of requirement and configuration of solution. As a Business Analyst (Operations/Back Office Specialist) you operate as a mediator and interlocutor between business and IT. You map the needs, requirements and expectations of internal customers and end users and document these requirements. You draft the requirements and translate them to (technical) solutions by configuring the Murex platform.

With your analysis skills you set out to be a good partner for our internal stakeholders and to think along with them. You find it important to ensure that knowledge remains up to date by following trends and developments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES ARE:
. Working closely with the business representatives, construct user stories (requirements) as the basis for development (configuration) and testing
. Produce business process documentation and support documentation
. Review and optimise requirements in liaison with the vendor and other parties in line with the overall cost saving objectives
. Execute the configuration of functional solutions within the Murex environment as part of the DevOps/Scrum team (primary focus on MXML workflow).
. Investigate, and propose solutions, on functional and technical issues raised by users and others
. Facilitate a knowledge handover to team resources on functional and where appropriate technical components
. Construct relevant tests per functional requirement, working with the software engineer test specialist if needed. Execute these tests when needed.
. Agree functional resolutions with vendor when escalated there
. Contribution to the built up of Murex knowledge within the team (giving and receiving).

YOUR PROFILE
. Expert knowledge of and experience working in an international Financial Markets organisation.
. Expert knowledge of the Murex application and configuration of workflows.
. Technical Skills (Murex skills expected to be well established)
o SQL, XSLT (DTDs), XML, XSLF, XMLF, XMFBM, XSLTREE
o Tools: Team Foundation Server (TFS), Jira, Reformx
o MSL, OSP, Lookup tables
. High level of self-motivation (for example to acquire knowledge, drive continuous improvement)
. Ability to produce high quality documentation especially for use as requirements, design specification and/or User Stores for subsequent development and testing.
. Broad knowledge of all Financial Market Instruments and their P&L, Risk Management and Operational requirements.
. T-shaped profile with a major in business analysis and proven affinity with technical aspects of IT-systems.
o Qualified and proven Murex experience
o Familiarity with Microsoft Office Toolset, SQL, XML, Unix, Java, TFS/Jira or similar
. Willing to be trained and potentially work a number of weeks in Paris in the Murex team
. Willing to work as a DEVOPS team member in our clients DEVOPS Murex team, including working on-site during those hours the team commits to (eg evenings)
. Proficient in the English language.
