Business Analyst - MAP

This position is responsible for ensuring that the evaluation and pricing function is completed on a timely and accurate manner and accurately reflects the underlying commercial agreements to be negotiated by the Meter Asset Provider (MAP). In addition this position will be responsible for the financial evaluation of business proposals and risk pricing.

- The development and management of financial models to support the negotiation of Meter Asset Provider agreements.
- Delivering business evaluation models to support decision making decisions.
- Liaising between the Finance function and Smart Meter Programme for data and assumptions.
- Prising of risk.
- Strong financial evaluation skills commercial skills
- Good commercial sense and ability to problem solve.
- Ability to use Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to manage external stakeholders to ensure that bilateral contracts are negotiated in compliance with the programme.
- Educated to degree level a degree in a numerate discipline such as economics, business studies, engineering or mathematics, or equivalent experience. An MBA would be an advantage
- Experience in managing projects which are of strategic importance to the company and therefore, involve management of stakeholders with different business imperatives and expectations
- Highly numerical and highly analytical with excellent management reporting skills supported by strong Excel skills.
- Experience in business finance and project management.
- Proactive and able to operate independently and confident of exercising own judgement.
- Proven commercial experience and able to demonstrate understanding of a complex industry and the role that large scale project finance can play in supporting business strategy.
