Business Analyst Job

BUSINESS ANALYST needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in UNIVERSAL CITY, CA.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- This position is an integral member of the TV Distribution technology team responsible for supporting global Sales and Financial systems.
- The Business Analyst will be responsible for gathering requirements and testing for new TV Distribution technology projects and operational releases including but not limited to Salesforce.com, Microstrategy and the Teradata data warehouse. This includes partnering with different departments within the TVD business and technology teams to collect requirements, process engineer, administrate and test.
- As a business analyst in information technology this role is expected to be proactive and work as part of a team alongside developers, support consultants, IT infrastructure and vendors to adequately support the business and maintain proper alignment.
- This role is also expected to have very strong analytical and problem solving skills and a technical background in systems and experience with process improvement changes. This role should be able to perform rapid analysis and decomposition of complex business information into technical process components.
- This role will be supporting global finance and sales departments and will be expected to work with global teams and users.
- The business analyst will need to be able to multi task and be assigned to projects and operational tasks in parallel to support TV Distribution's implementation of SalesForce.com, Microstrategy and Data Warehouse.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Minimum of 3-5 (three to five) years of solid hands on experience with Salesforce.com
- Minimum of 3-5 (three to five) years of Client facing and business analysis experience
- Minimum of 3-5 (three to five) years in application development and SDLC
- Experience with data architecture, data warehouse and middle ware/ETL tools and technologies
- Strong analytical & problem solving skillsExperience leading the analysis and extracting and documenting business requirements on projects, system enhancements and defects
- Experience leading and performing the testing on projects, enhancements and defects
- Ability to write SQL statements
- Experience documenting and executing test cases from requirements documents.
- Experience in supporting 24 X 7 mission critical applications
- Enthusiasm for solving problems
- Strong emotional intelligence
- Motivated, self-starter, independent, results oriented and professional
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related fields.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements, including the ability to multi-task and juggle many competing priorities and deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to work well with other team members

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- SalesForce certification (Sales, Force.com)
- Quality Trained (Six Sigma Black Belt)
- Media & Entertainment experience
- Ability to think creatively to come up with new solutions
- Knowledge of Accounting and Finance
- Data Warehouse: MicroStrategy and/or other BI related systems
- Has worked within a project team over multiple geographic/international locations. Has a good understanding of technology trends and developments
- Deep understanding of software development in Agile or waterfall methodology
- Excellent understanding of Sales & Ops Related Technologies and process
- TVD business experience
