Business Analyst - Investment Banking - Risk & Controls

My leading investment banking client is looking for a senior business analyst to help embed risk and control frameworks into Front Office.

Previous First line of defence/Risk & controls and Target Operating model experience is essential.

The role exists within the Conduct Risk programme which is responsible for ensuring the bank meets its commitment to the Regulators to establish and embed a First Line of Defence within the investment bank.

Specifically the role is required to analyse the current controls environment, gather business user needs, collate requirements, and produce documentation around the Target Operating Model for First Line of Defence.

Candidates MUST

- Core Business Analyst Skills - analysing business processes, gathering requirements, and documenting these requirements by liaising with users and SMEs.
- PROVEN EXPERIENCE EMBEDDING RISK AND CONTROL FRAMEWORKS INTO FRONT OFIICE
- PROVEN EXPERIENCE IN THE CONVERSION OF REQUIREMENTS INTO A TARGET OPERATING MODEL FOR THE FIRST LINE OF DEFENCE
- Knowledge of front to back life cycle and core investment banking functions.
- Facilitate workshops with Front Office and Operational Risk staff to develop a comprehensive First Line of Defence framework
- Good knowledge of the Markets and Banking business and products traded
- Front to back awareness of processes within an investment bank (from sales to Back Office)
- Good knowledge of risk and control processes within Investment Banking
- Can show deep knowledge and experience around the risk and controls within the financial industry
