Business Analyst - Immediate Start - June 2013 Contract

A fantastic opportunity has become available for experienced Business Analysts within a Government Department for a long-term contract role.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Engage with internal and external stakeholders within the department such as relevant business areas, IT development and support teams and others;
- Undertake business analysis tasks such as organising and conducting stakeholder workshops, collecting user requirements, and converting them into detailed functional and non-functional requirements, writing Use Cases, data specifications and test cases if required;
- Store and update BA artefacts;
- Ensure that the BA artefacts are of high standard and satisfy quality criteria as per Application Development Quality Framework (ADQF); and
- Take part in development of testing strategies, test scripts and provide assistance with testing if needed.

SKILLS:

- Minimum three years experience as a Business Analyst in software development projects utilising Object Oriented Methodologies working with a range of many and varied stakeholders developing: User Requirements models; System artefacts (Use Cases); Business Domain models; Business Process models Functional Specification writing, and
- User Experience/User Interface models and specifications.
- Demonstrated skills in using requirements management tools to support large-scale systems development.
