Business Analyst - IFRS 9

For our client, global banking company located in Zurich is looking for a Business Analyst for 10-Months contract.

We are offering an exciting risk analyst position within Group Risk Control. The responsibility of this role is to work as part of the team tasked with implementing the accounting standard IFRS 9.

IFRS 9 includes new guidance on how to classify and measure financial instruments including the calculation of their impairment. In particular, it brings in new rules that will materially change how banks account for credit risk arising from accrual accounted loans, guarantees and loan commitments, moving from the current incurred loss model to an expected loss model.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
. Analyze the business cases and requirements and apply findings of the technical analysis to your respective domain: "Wealth Management" (WM/WMA) or "Swiss Retail & Corporate" (R&C).
. Work with IT business analysts and business stakeholder (methodology, underwriter) to ensure the solutions proposed are fit for purpose and satisfy the business needs and requirements.
. Deliver requirement specification and use cases for the various changes with regard to the system landscape and product domain.
. Assist IT and business in defining test cases and acceptance criteria, support testing participants in investigations and follow up on issues and queries.
. Strong analytical skills with previous business analysis experience
. Change management experience within a risk management control environment
. Familiar with key risk concepts and measures across asset classes
. Knowledge of current business processes in WM and R&C and IT system environment (GEAR, CRCS, TMS, DAS, ZEUS, etc.). Agility to get familiar with complex IT systems and data models.
. At least Bachelor degree (or similar) in Finance, Economics or Engineering
. Proficient at MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Word
. Ability to broker agreement amongst diverse stakeholders
. Adherence to milestones in a time-sensitive, dynamic environment
. Self-driven personality who assumes full ownership of his or her work
. Ability to drive progress under uncertainty and frequently changing requirements
. Ambition to rather quickly gain a thorough understanding of IFRS 9 scope.
. English fluent (German is a plus)
